THRISSUR: Kerala Agricultural University (KAU) has invited applications for admission to its Post Graduate Diploma in Farm Journalism and Visual Communication for the academic year 2026–27.

The one-year programme is being offered through the Directorate of Extension at Mannuthy, with applications being accepted online. Eligible candidates can submit their applications through the university's admission portal until October 15, 2026.

The programme is designed to provide specialised training in communicating agricultural information through journalism and modern visual media. It offers an opportunity for students and professionals interested in agricultural communication, rural journalism, digital content, visual communication and media-related activities in the farming sector.

The admission notification has been issued by Kerala Agricultural University, and applicants are required to register through the university's online admission portal before submitting their applications.

The programme comes at a time when effective communication of agricultural knowledge has become increasingly important. Farmers and rural communities increasingly depend on digital platforms, video content, online publications and other visual media for information on farming practices, technologies, markets and government programmes.

The course could therefore be relevant not only to aspiring agricultural journalists but also to those interested in digital media, agricultural content creation, extension communication and visual storytelling.

KAU has maintained a range of academic and professional programmes connected with agriculture, horticulture, forestry, agricultural engineering and related disciplines across its institutions in Kerala.
